Most weeks our 5 Things To Do Downtown list is filled with performances by a variety of talented local singers, comedians, artists, dancers and more. These folks now cannot ply their trade, but there is still a way to enjoy & support their work! Many are setting up live streaming and sales of their work on-line. Please take a few minutes and explore some of these sites, send a donation or purchase a one-of-a-kind piece of art!
The Visual Art of Critical Mass 8. This exhibit is always one of the most highly-anticipated of the year and features a veritable who’s who of local artists. I guarantee you will find many things that you like here. Almost all are for sale and can be yours!

The Art of Ben Ware. You can also see it at benware.art on Instagram. Ben is a Minden-based abstract artist. Various sizes, colors available.
Artist: Isabelle De Joya Vea
The Art and Jewelry of Isabelle De Joya Vea. Isabelle specializes in mixed media, jewelry, pottery and henna art. She will take jewelry commissions if there is a color, look or stone that you prefer. Website coming soon.

Louisiana Painter and Artist Caitlin Lindsay Rose. Caitlin is a talented artist who takes commissions on all sizes and types of works and can create a special piece to fit any budget. The painting above was a commission for me and I love it! Caitlin is also a member of the Vela Nora musical group and they will also be hosting live FB concerts.
Musician Joanie Nerrittig
Musician Joanie Nerrittig (The Joanitones). Joanie will be hosting solo and full band streaming events on FB for donations. Joanie is a finalist in the Louisiana Music Prize and a performer at multiple local venues. You may have also seen her at the Downtown Artwalks, strumming her guitar and entrancing the crowd with her folksy, melodic, and rockabilly tunes.

The Zap Cat World of Star Williams. Star weaves the whimsical and sublime into her works featuring cats, dogs and Outer Space with a fun Pop Art vibe. In addition to the FB page above, she has The Space Pixie Shop. Purchases can be made at either location.
Artist Maggie Molisee
Living the Art Life with Maggie Molisee. Maggie, whose business name is Magotpie is a talented artist who often explores the macabre and unusual. Maggie has been especially fascinated of late with American serial killers and how they came to be. You can follow her interesting, but troubling, series here. Maggie’s works can also be found on the Digital Art Yard Sale page and her website should soon be set up for art sales. too.
